In this first cycle, students begin the CODIS course and also start choosing their instrument.
Codes (60-minute group class/week)
Students are introduced to musical language through reading practice, rhythm study, ear training, pitch adjustment, and improvisation practice.
All of these aspects are worked on through a series of active exercises designed to help students acquire a good level of language in a playful, collaborative way.
The music theory class is required in order to play an instrument.
Individual instrument (30 min/week)
This class offers students the opportunity for individual, fully personalized learning, as it allows our teachers to tailor instruction to each student's needs, abilities, and learning style.
Lessons are offered in guitar, bass, piano, drums, vocals, viola, violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and euphonium.
Although you can start an instrument at age six, we recommend that at that age they first go through the instrument rotation.
Instrument wheel
Throughout the second quarter, sessions are organized in which students can try out and get up close with the instruments we offer at the school, with the aim of helping them choose the instrument they will begin playing at age seven or eight.
Children's Choir (45-minute group class/week)
Recommended elective course starting at age 6 for a more complete musical education.
Singing in a choir not only provides us with a solid musical and performance foundation but also offers extensive vocal and listening practice that connects us to music in a very direct way.
